The DS4000 EXP710 Fibre Channel (FC) storage expansion unit option uses switched technology that can help provide improvements in performance and reliability for IBM eServer servers. Designed for select IBM TotalStorage DS4000 Midrange Disk Systems, this option expands the highly scalable, high-performance DS4000 family with a new 14-bay, 2 Gbps, rack-mountable FC drive enclosure. It is designed to provide improved reliability and efficiency utilizing internal switch technology to attach to each disk drive within the EXP710 enclosure.
